When something comes up, members are seen the same or next business day. The visit is with Dr. Shtern, one patient at a time, and long enough to sort it out.
How it works
Call the office and say what is going on. Members are seen that day or the next business day, rather than waiting weeks for an opening. Routine visits are booked at a time that suits you.
Office hours are Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM and Friday 9 AM to 2 PM. Outside those hours, members can still reach the practice by phone, 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
Why the schedule has room
Dr. Shtern keeps a small practice on purpose and sees one patient at a time. Visits are not booked in 15-minute slots, so there is space in the day for the person who calls in the morning with a fever, a new pain, or a blood pressure reading that will not come down.
An answer before you leave
Many sick visits end with a result, not a referral to somewhere else. Blood is drawn in the office, ECGs are done during the visit, and rapid tests for flu A and B, COVID-19 and strep are run here. Labs and tests in the office.
If coming in is not practical, many follow-ups and results reviews can happen by video visit.
